Juliana

  • Currently waiting on further Orthopaedic surgery on her legs due to deterioration in her condition.
  • Her mobility was greatly reduced due to delays for her previous surgery. Rather than walking on the sole of her foot, she would bear weight through her ankle.
  • Could not wear shoes for 3 months leading up to her surgery.
  • She developed swelling on her knees, lumps on her feet, and had back pain while waiting for surgery. She had to visit the Emergency Department for pain management.
  • Pressure on her foot became so bad that she had to have her leg splints remade every 6-21 days for 8.5 months.
  • Juliana is a great swimmer, she also loves gymnastics and  wheelchair tennis.
