Currently waiting on further Orthopaedic surgery on her legs due to deterioration in her condition.
Her mobility was greatly reduced due to delays for her previous surgery. Rather than walking on the sole of her foot, she would bear weight through her ankle.
Could not wear shoes for 3 months leading up to her surgery.
She developed swelling on her knees, lumps on her feet, and had back pain while waiting for surgery. She had to visit the Emergency Department for pain management.
Pressure on her foot became so bad that she had to have her leg splints remade every 6-21 days for 8.5 months.
Juliana is a great swimmer, she also loves gymnastics and wheelchair tennis.
